I revisited Hammersmith station on 17th March 2023. I was travelling on the District line, which turns out to be an entirely different station to the Circle line. I must have used a lift to exit this station.
The two Hammersmith stations are separated by Hammersmith Broadway. The lifts at this station, which were replaced towards the end of 2013, provide step-free access between the platforms and the main entrance on Hammersmith Broadway. It is described as a 520 metre journey via street. You have to exit one station, cross a major traffic junction, and enter the other building.
I visited Hammersmith station at the western end of the Hammersmith & City and Circle lines, at the junction with District and Piccadilly lines in September 2021. In 2023, it was the same, and a very good station. It is almost entirely step free.
