I visited Cockfosters station in July 2019. It is at the eastern end of the Piccadilly line, one stop away from Oakwood (which is an accessible station). Cockfosters has steps at all entrance / exit points.
It would appear that Cockfosters station is now step free. It became Londons 80th stepfree station.
Thanks to Tristan for this accessible detail. Access is by a lift along the side in the North car park, near to the main road.

Cockfosters station
Cockfosters is on the Piccadilly underground line, and is now step-free. In September 2020, Cockfosters became the 80th accessible Tube station after step-free access was completed. A housing development is planned for the Cockfosters car park.
