Accrington station is on the Northern Route is a Category B Station. Platform 1 has step free access from Paxton Street, up steep 50m ramp with handrail or past the car park and a shallower ramp.
Platform 2 has step free access up gently sloping footpath from Eagle Street. Ticket office is on Blackburn platform, with stepped footbridge between platforms comprising of 24 steps up and 25 steps down with rest platforms. The walk between the two platforms is in excess of 400m.
